Veterinary Internist

About the role

We are currently seeking a Veterinary Internist to help launch our Internal Medicine service and play a key role in shaping this department as the hospital grows.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive internal medicine services to a diverse patient population
• Collaborate with other veterinarians and support staff to develop and implement treatment plans
• Conduct diagnostic tests and interpret results to diagnose and manage medical conditions
• Participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities
• Assist in the training and mentoring of veterinary students and interns

Requirements

• Board certification in veterinary internal medicine
• Residency training in veterinary internal medicine
• Experience in providing comprehensive internal medicine services
• Strong clinical skills and ability to diagnose and manage complex medical cases
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an AVMA-accredited institution
• Current license to practice veterinary medicine in North Carolina
• Passing scores on the AVMA-accredited examination for the Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine

Pay
