Veterinary Internist

About the role

BluePearl Specialty + Emergency Pet Hospital in Maitland, Florida is seeking a full-time boarded Internist or board-eligible Internal Medicine specialist to join their collaborative and highly respected specialty team.

Responsibilities

• Practice advanced medicine alongside a highly skilled multidisciplinary team in a thriving referral environment.
• Operate Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
• Manage after-hours emergencies through local emergency veterinary hospitals and refer to BluePearl for continued specialty care when needed.
• Utilize advanced diagnostic and treatment technology including 64-slice helical CT scanner, 1.5 Tesla MRI, ultrasound, digital radiography, radioiodine therapy, linear accelerator, endoscopy, and laparoscopy.
• Support rotating interns and residency programs in Internal Medicine, Surgery, and Neurology.
• Collaborate with adjacent specialty services including Ophthalmology and Dermatology for consultation support.

Requirements

• Board certification in Internal Medicine or board eligibility.
• Experience in advanced veterinary medicine preferred.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree.
• Current license to practice veterinary medicine in Florida.
• Passing score on the AVMA-accredited Veterinarian Internist Exam or equivalent.

Pay

Up to $120,000 sign-on bonus available.

Schedule

Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
