About the role

Westside Pet Hospital is a two-DVM small animal practice located in Redding, CA. The clinic combines high-quality medicine with a supportive, close-knit culture. We are passionate about dentistry and provide care for a range of species, including exotics like reptiles, birds, and small mammals. Our clinic offers great mentorship and has a high caseload diversity, including urgent and orthopedic care.

Responsibilities

• Gain experience in gathering patient histories
• Perform physical exams
• Create treatment plans
• Perform diagnostics
• Provide dental services
• Observe/assist in surgical procedures
• Support the medical team in communicating with clients and support staff
• Practice medical management of patients

Requirements

Veterinary students who are in the clinical portion of their education are eligible for a travel/living expense stipend. Stipend amounts can be viewed here. Externships are offered to 3rd and 4th-year veterinary students.
