Veterinary Extern - General Practice

About the role

We are a small 1.5 DVM practice focused on general small animal care, occasionally including exotic pets. We have two highly skilled technicians who provide additional support.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the supervising veterinarian to gather patient histories, perform physical exams, create treatment plans, conduct diagnostics, perform dental services, assist or perform surgical procedures, and manage medical cases.
• Practice clinical skills under supervision.
• Develop communication skills through interactions with the medical team, support staff, and clients.

Culture is a cornerstone of our practice, emphasizing a fun environment where high-quality medicine is maintained. Our staff includes an OSU graduate DVM Class of 2018, an MBA-holding DVM with a Fear Free Certification, and two skilled technicians.

Qualifications
