About the role
An externship experience at Old Derby Animal Hospital will provide students with hands-on clinical experience and insight into daily operations.
Responsibilities
- Gain experience in gathering patient histories
- Perform physical exams
- Create treatment plans
- Diagnose and perform diagnostics
- Provide dental services
- Assist or perform surgical procedures
- Manage medical cases
- Practice communication skills with the medical team, support staff, and clients
Qualifications
- Veterinary students (all class years)
- Eligible for a travel/living expense stipend if in the clinical portion of their education
