Veterinary Extern - General Practice

About the role

An externship experience at an NVA hospital will provide students with the opportunity to understand daily operations and gain hands-on clinical experience.

Responsibilities

• Gain experience in gathering patient histories
• Perform physical exams
• Create treatment plans
• Diagnose and perform diagnostics
• Provide dental services
• Assist or perform surgical procedures
• Manage medical care for patients
• Practice communication skills with the medical team, support staff, and clients

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled veterinary students in the clinical portion of their education
• Eligible for a travel/living expense stipend ($500 for Stillwater Veterinary Clinic)
