About the role
Students will work closely with supervising Associate Veterinarians to gain experience in various aspects of veterinary care.
Responsibilities
- Gain experience in gathering patient histories
- Perform physical exams
- Create treatment plans
- Diagnose and perform diagnostics
- Provide dental services
- Assist or perform surgical procedures
- Manage medical cases
- Practice communication skills with the medical team, support staff, and clients
Requirements
Veterinary students (regardless of class year) are encouraged to participate. Eligibility includes those in the clinical portion of their education.
Qualifications

Benefits
Travel/living expense stipend available, ranging from $1000 to $2500 depending on the duration of the externship.
