About the role
An externship experience at Anamosa Veterinary Clinic will provide students with hands-on clinical experience and insight into daily hospital operations.
Responsibilities
- Gain experience in gathering patient histories
- Perform physical exams
- Create treatment plans
- Diagnose and perform diagnostics
- Provide dental services
- Assist or perform surgical procedures
- Manage medical care for patients
- Practice communication skills with the medical team, support staff, and clients
Requirements
Veterinary students (all classes) are encouraged to participate. Students in the clinical portion of their education may be eligible for a travel/living expense stipend.
