Veterinary Extern - General Practice

About the role

Students will work closely with the supervising veterinarian to gain experience in various aspects of veterinary practice.

Responsibilities

• Gathering patient histories
• Performing physical exams
• Creating treatment plans
• Diagnostics
• Dentistry services
• Observing/assisting or performing surgical procedures
• Medical management of patients
• Practicing clinical skills
• Practicing communication skills with the medical team, support staff, and clients

Qualifications

Eligible for 3rd and 4th year veterinary students in the clinical portion of their education.
