About the role
An externship at North 10th Street Animal Hospital provides veterinary students with hands-on clinical experience in a supportive and mentorship-focused environment.
Responsibilities
- Gain exposure to a diverse caseload including wellness care, urgent care, surgery, dentistry, diagnostics, and optional exotics medicine.
- Work closely with veterinarians and support team to develop skills in patient assessment, diagnostics, treatment planning, client communication, dentistry, and surgery.
- Operate within a hospital equipped with advanced medical tools and services such as in-house IDEXX diagnostics, digital and dental radiography, ultrasound, endoscopy, cold laser therapy, acupuncture, and dedicated dental and surgical suites.
Requirements
Veterinary students in the clinical portion of their education are eligible for a travel/living expense stipend.
Qualifications
Students must be enrolled in a veterinary school and in the clinical portion of their education.
