About the role

I-20 Animal Hospital offers up to a $2500 travel stipend for Clinical Year Externships.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with supervising Associate Veterinarians
• Gather patient histories
• Perform physical exams
• Create treatment plans
• Diagnose and perform diagnostics
• Provide dental services
• Assist or perform surgical procedures
• Manage medical cases
• Practice communication skills with the medical team, support staff, and clients

Qualifications

Students must be enrolled in a veterinary school and in the clinical portion of their education.

Benefits

Eligible students receive a travel/living expense stipend.

Pay

The stipend amount varies based on the duration of the externship.

Schedule

Externship experiences range from two to eight weeks depending on student and hospital schedules.
