Veterinary Criticalist

About the role

The Animal Specialty and Emergency Center of Brevard is seeking a residency-trained or board-certified Criticalist to join their growing team in Melbourne, Florida.

Responsibilities

• Provide critical care services to hospitalized patients
• Collaborate with surgical and dental specialists for complex cases
• Conduct diagnostic evaluations and develop treatment plans
• Teach and mentor veterinary students and residents
• Participate in case rounds and seminars

Requirements

• Residency training or board certification in Critical Care
• Experience in emergency and critical care
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree
• Current license to practice veterinary medicine in Florida
• Knowledge of anesthesia and pain management
• Experience with advanced diagnostic imaging techniques
