Veterinary Criticalist

About the role

The Charleston Veterinary Referral Center is seeking a Criticalist to join their growing team. Located in beautiful Charleston, SC, the hospital has recently expanded to 32,000 square feet, featuring advanced equipment including a 16-slice helical CT, high-field MRI, EMG, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, endoscopy, in-house lab, blood bank, and a state-of-the-art intensive care unit with mechanical ventilation capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage Emergency & Critical Care cases
• Collaborate with other specialties and the Emergency service
• Practice the highest quality medicine
• Strive for excellence
• Communicate effectively
• Approach patients, clients, and team members with compassion and empathy

Requirements

• Pass the AVQ exam
• Must be licensed to practice in South Carolina
• Experience in Emergency & Critical Care preferred

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM)
• Current license to practice in South Carolina
