About the role

Alpharetta Veterinary Specialty + Emergency (AVSE) is seeking a full-time Clinical Operations Manager to lead our Emergency and Specialty Services teams in Alpharetta, GA. This leadership opportunity is ideal for an experienced Licensed Veterinary Technician who enjoys mentorship, team development, and supporting high-quality patient care in a specialty and emergency hospital.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the daily operations of the Emergency and Specialty clinical teams while maintaining high standards of patient care
  • Partner with the Hospital Director and Medical Director to establish clinical goals, improve workflows, and support hospital initiatives
  • Serve as a resource and mentor for Veterinary Technicians, Veterinary Assistants, and clinical leaders
  • Promote a collaborative culture centered on teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Manage schedules for Veterinary Technicians and Veterinary Assistants
  • Monitor staffing needs and help ensure appropriate team coverage across clinical services
  • Work closely with the hospital’s Training Manager to develop and implement onboarding, training, and competency programs for clinical team members
  • Avoid additional leadership responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Licensed Veterinary Technician, including LVT, RVT, CVT, or VTS credential, required
  • Minimum 3 years of management experience required, and a minimum 1 year of experience managing a team of 50 or more employees required
  • Strong leadership, coaching, mentoring, and team development skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management abilities
  • Ability to establish priorities and meet organizational goals
  • Results-oriented approach with the ability to balance clinical, operational, and team priorities
  • Professional, positive, and collaborative leadership style
  • Fluent English speaking and reading skills required
