Veterinary Clinic Relations Specialist
Lap of Love is a national practice dedicated exclusively to in-home end-of-life care for pets. Our veterinarians help pets and their parents with quality of life assessments, pain and anxiety management, end-of-life consultations, and peaceful euthanasia in the comfort of their pet's favorite place—home.
About the role
Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice seeks an empathetic and self-motivated individual with excellent communication skills to join our dynamic team as a Veterinary Clinic Relations Specialist in the Portland, OR area. This role engages the veterinary community to educate them on Lap of Love's end-of-life veterinary services for pet families: in-home euthanasia, hospice, telehospice, and pet loss support. The Specialist collaborates with our nationwide veterinarians to educate new, underserved, and expanding markets on Lap of Love's services. The focus is on building trust within the veterinary and pet parent community through clinic visits, veterinary conferences, special events, and digital outreach.
Responsibilities
- Travel to veterinary conferences and veterinary clinics in markets across the United States (75% travel).
- Educate veterinary practices and their team members on the benefits of recommending Lap of Love as an in-home, end-of-life care provider to pet families.
- Visit a minimum of 3 Lap of Love markets per month and deliver educational material to support veterinary practices and pet parents.
- Provide new ideas, trends, and tips to continually strengthen relationships, both in person and remotely.
- Attend national conferences and events to promote Lap of Love at booths, speaking engagements, and special events.
- Report and track results from visits, events, and meetings to assess campaign effectiveness.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of sales or outreach experience, preferably in the veterinary industry.
- Live within 45 minutes of a major airport.
- Top-notch oral and written communication skills with the ability to tailor messages to audience needs.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build new relationships in the veterinary industry.
- Excellent prioritization, time management, and organizational skills, with the ability to work with limited supervision.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint), G Suite (Google Drive, Gmail, Google Calendars, Google Sheets), and Customer Relationship Management systems.
- Ability to learn proprietary Lap of Love software.

Schedule
- 40 hours per week (full-time, exempt).
- Remote with up to 75% travel.
- Hours may vary; some evening and weekend availability may be necessary.
Pay
$65,000–$67,000 base salary plus monthly bonus potential.
