Veterinary Client Service Representative

About the role

VCA All Pet Emergency Center (APEC) is hiring an experienced Client Service Representative to join their team. They provide after-hours emergency and critical care services in Evansville, IN. Visit their hospital website here.

Responsibilities

• Greeting visitors, answering telephones, and guiding clients and their pets to exam rooms
• Coinciding visits and assisting patient care team with triage
• Presenting and explaining fees, including processing payments
• Assisting clients with products, including prescriptions
• Answering questions regarding products and services, including educating clients on general animal husbandry and non-medical care
• Hospital maintenance and ensuring that facility is neat and clean at all times—both inside and outside
• Managing medical records, charts, reports and correspondence

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer service role
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally
• Knowledge of basic animal care and husbandry
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office
