About the role

Arista Advanced Pet Care is building a modern emergency and multispecialty veterinary hospital in Asheville. The team values collaboration, exceptional patient care, and a supportive culture where talented professionals can grow and stay.

Who we are looking for

  • Generous with technicians and fellow doctors
  • Believe cases should go where they will receive the best care
  • Enjoy teaching and learning as a contribution to the team
  • Seek ways to say “yes” even when it would be easier to say “no”
  • Assume good intentions and bring concerns with possible solutions
  • Want to help build the culture, not just critique it
  • Care about the pet‑owning community and the veterinary professionals who serve it
  • Have a sense of humor and enjoy having fun together while working hard

What working here looks like

You will practice in a modern emergency and multispecialty hospital where real‑time consultation is the norm and complex cases are managed collaboratively. The Care Navigation team guides clients through the referral experience. Scribble provides ambient dictation so you spend less time typing and more time practicing medicine. Instinct serves as the EMR and PIMS, integrating patient care, communication, and workflow in a system the team enjoys. Production is paid monthly, with a transparent dashboard that lets you track your numbers daily. Good ideas are welcomed and have a reasonable chance of being implemented.

Ownership or associate path

If you are interested in ownership, you can acquire a meaningful equity stake while continuing to practice medicine, participating in local decisions, and sharing in the value you help create. Ownership involves balancing your ideas with those of your partners and considering what is best for the hospital, its patients, and the team. If ownership is not your preference, associate positions are available, offering meaningful influence over medical practice without a non‑compete restriction.

Benefits

  • Four weeks of paid time off
  • $5,000 annual continuing education allowance
  • 401(k) with a 4% match
  • Paid parental leave
  • Pet insurance
  • Production paid monthly
  • No negative accrual
  • No non‑compete for associates
