Veterinary Cardiologist

The Role

We are seeking a cardiologist to join our team at Animal Clinic Northview. This position offers the opportunity to expand our specialty offerings and provide advanced cardiac care to our patients.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage cardiac conditions including CHF, arrhythmias, congenital defects, cardiomyopathies, and pericardial disease
• Perform echocardiography, ECG interpretation, Holter monitoring, and interventional procedures (e.g., pacemaker placement, PDA occlusion, balloon valvuloplasty)
• Manage cardiac emergencies and collaborate with our 24-hour ICU and emergency department
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients regarding complex diagnoses
• Collaborate with other specialists and team members to ensure comprehensive patient care

Requirements

• Residency-trained or board-certified in veterinary cardiology
• New residency graduates are encouraged to apply
• Experienced or interested in performing interventional procedures
• Confident in managing cardiac emergencies
• Skilled in communicating with clients
• Team-oriented and committed to excellent patient care

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree
• Current licensure to practice veterinary medicine in Ohio

Skills

• Excellent diagnostic and therapeutic skills
• Effective communication and client service skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
