Veterinary Attendant - Angell West; Overnight Shift

About the role

This is a full time 40 hour a week, overnight shift position. We have an opening for a Veterinary Attendant at our Angell West Veterinary Clinic. If you are interested in a career in the Animal Health Care Industry, this might be a perfect entry level job for you.

Responsibilities

• Walking, feeding, providing overall care and comfort to patients
• Documenting medical record information in the hospital computer system
• Identifying and reporting when an animal is not stable
• Identifying and quickly responding to any signs of an animal in distress

Qualifications

• Recent experience with different animal species of all sizes and temperaments (please detail your experience in your cover letter attached to your application)
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment
• High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree or higher preferred

About the hospital

MSPCA-Angell West, located in Waltham, is a 24-hour emergency and referral satellite animal hospital. Angell West was opened in early 2014 by Angell Animal Medical Center. The Waltham hospital is over 17,000 square feet. We are a values based organization with a focus on client service, patient care and life-work balance. We are looking for an individual who shares our values and is seeking a smaller hospital based setting.

Pay & Schedule

• Full time, 40 hours per week
• Overnight shift
• Starts at $18.00/hr, with an additional $5/hr 3rd shift differential for overnights
