Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist
About the role
Lake Country Veterinary Care is hiring for a full-time dual role combining Front Desk Receptionist and Veterinary Assistant duties. This is a great fit for someone who thrives on variety — splitting time between welcoming clients up front and providing hands-on support for our animal patients in the back.
Responsibilities
- Greet clients and their pets, complete the appointment sign-in process, confirm appointment details, and escort clients to exam rooms.
- Ensure accurate service and product sales accounting, handle payments, process credit/debit cards, and schedule future appointments.
- Answer client calls for appointments, hospital inquiries, medication refills, and other requests.
- Make outbound calls for appointment reminders and follow-ups.
- Understand common vaccination protocols, basic lab tests, common diseases, veterinary terminology, and pet behavior.
- Aid in maintaining cleanliness and organization to ensure a positive client experience.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a veterinary receptionist or medical office assistant preferred.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Ability to maintain a calm, professional, and positive demeanor.

Pay
$16.00-$18.00 per hour, based on the candidate's skills, experience, and qualifications.
Schedule
This is a full time position. Monday through Friday: 8 AM – 6 PM. Five 8-hour shifts or four 10-hour shifts per week with a regular day off. No weekend hours!
