About the role
We're hiring a Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist at Mt. Pleasant Veterinary Clinic in Chesapeake, VA. The position can be full-time or part-time and offers flexibility.
Responsibilities
- Aid veterinarians and technicians with patient care and handling
- Obtain patient history and vitals
- Restrains animals during exams and procedures
- Clean and sterilize equipment and exam rooms
- Feed, bathe, and walk patients as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized hospital environment
- Support clients with check-ins, discharges, and general questions
- Perform receptionist shifts and skills - our team is cross-trained!
Requirements
- Passionate about animals and their well-being

- Comfortable with animal handling and willing to learn
- Able to multitask in a busy clinical setting
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in a veterinary setting preferred
