Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist

About the role

Enthusiastic small animal/mixed animal veterinary assistant needed for our expanding practice on the beautiful Southern Oregon coast.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine medical care for small animals, including but not limited to vaccinations, nail trims, and ear cleaning.
• Assist veterinarians during examinations and procedures.
• Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing client communications, and maintaining records.
• Perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 40lbs., bending, and working on stairs.
• Work outside when necessary.

Requirements

• Previous veterinary experience.
• Good communication skills.
• Organized and capable of multitasking.
• Positive, team-oriented attitude.

Qualifications

• Experience in veterinary assistant role preferred.

Skills

• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to lift and move objects up to 40lbs.
• Knowledge of basic veterinary procedures.

Pay

$15.00 - $17.00 per hour

Schedule

10 hour shift, 7 days a week, rotating on-call and weekend shifts.
