Veterinary Assistant - Internal Medicine
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent care and ensure cleanliness and comfort of all AMC patients
- Provide appropriate assistance with emergency patients
- Aid with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges
- Facilitate patient visits
- Accurately maintain records and data entries
- Communicate changes in patient behavior to doctors and technicians
- Maintain positive relationships within departments
- Ability to lift and restrain animals weighing up to 50 pounds
- Independent and team-oriented work ethic
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and communication skills
- Composure in stressful and emergency situations
- Adherence to detailed protocols
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Approved Veterinary Assistant or equivalent certificate preferred
- Flexibility to work shifts 24/7
