About the role

BluePearl Pet Hospital in Philadelphia, PA is hiring a detail-oriented, multitasking, team-focused Veterinary Assistant for our busy Internal Medicine department.

Responsibilities

• Calmly and gently approach and handle our patients according to safety protocols and our core values
• Identify abnormal pathology
• Understand our hospital estimates and can clearly present and explain them to our clients
• Show patience and empathy to address client concerns
• Educate clients in the areas of Internal Medicine and can provide exceptional care for our patients
• Prepare medications and our patients/clients for discharge with concise directions for our clients
• Support your Internal Medicine team in all aspects of care for your patients

Requirements

• Driven, dependable, committed, and knowledgeable
• Excellent interpersonal skills in a team atmosphere
• Interest in working in an educational environment

Qualifications

• Unrestricted, current authorization to work in the U.S.
• Not required to work in the U.S. or require future sponsorship for an employment-based green card
