VCA Davis Animal Hospital is seeking a full time Veterinary Assistant to join the team at our 4 doctor general practice in Stamford, CT. Responsibilities

• Help create and maintain a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients.
• Deliver an outstanding client experience.
• Use the knowledge you’ve invested in to assist with various aspects of veterinary care, including:
• Patient care
• Client education and care
• Pharmacy and medication administration
• Lab sample collection and processing
• Dental procedures
• Anesthesia monitoring
• Surgical preparation and assisting
• Medical recordkeeping

Requirements

• Experience in veterinary assisting or technician roles is preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current certification as a Veterinary Assistant or Technician (if applicable).
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Pay

$20.00 - $25.00 / hr dependent on experience, and skill set.

Schedule

Full time, weekend rotation required.
