Veterinary Assistant Experienced

Responsibilities

• Supports veterinarians and technicians in all aspects of animal care by restraining patients during physical exams, treatments, and procedures.
• Ensures patients receive proper care in a safe and comfortable manner by acting as an advocate.
• Assists veterinarians and technicians during exams, treatments, and procedures.
• Safely restrains animals for exams and treatments.
• Takes vital signs and collects patient histories.
• Administers medications under supervision.
• Cleans and maintains exam rooms, surgical suites, and equipment.
• Provides compassionate care and support to clients and patients.
• Maintains accurate patient records and assists with inventory.
• Supports the hospital team in daily operations and patient flow.

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience in a veterinary, animal care, or pet boarding environment preferred.
• Comfortable with animal handling and restraint.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• A positive attitude and a desire to grow within the veterinary field.
• A high school diploma or equivalent.

Pay

$15.00 - $23.00 /hr based on skill set and experience.

Schedule

Full-time (35–40 hours/week) with rotating Saturdays and Sundays.
