About the role

VCA Carrollwood Cat Animal Hospital is seeking a full-time Experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our dedicated team. We are a 2-doctor full-service veterinary hospital located in Tampa, FL, serving cats and their owners in the Tampa, Temple Terrace, Northdale, and surrounding areas. Our hospital is uniquely focused on feline care, offering primary care, illness care, surgery, and dentistry.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate patient care
• Communicate effectively with clients
• Assist with anesthesia and surgery
• Perform radiology, dentistry, catheterization, venipuncture, laboratory work, and pharmacy duties
• Keep medical records up-to-date
• Collaborate with the team to foster a supportive and inclusive work environment

Requirements

• 2-5 years of in-hospital experience
• Positive and motivated personality
• Ability to work weekends

Qualifications

• Credential as a Veterinary Technician (CVT, RVT, LVT)
• Strong communication and client interaction skills
• Adaptability and goal-driven mindset

Pay

$15 - $21 / hr, based on skill set and experience.

Schedule

Weekend rotation required.
