About the role

Mission Pet Health is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join our dynamic team. This role is essential for providing compassionate care to our patients and supporting the clinic’s operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide essential patient care, assisting the medical team with hands-on tasks and ensuring all animals receive respectful treatment.
• Support the medical team by anticipating and addressing their needs, contributing to a seamless and efficient workflow.
• Create a positive client experience by managing scheduling, payments, and communications with a courteous and informative approach.
• Maintain a safe and clean clinic environment through routine upkeep and equipment maintenance.

Requirements

• A High School Diploma or equivalent.
• A calm and efficient approach, able to manage a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment with composure.
• Confidence and skill in handling pets of various sizes and temperaments.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Proficiency in fundamental veterinary skills such as laboratory, pharmacy, nursing, and radiology (a strong asset).
