Veterinary Assistant
About the role
Woodinville Animal Hospital is looking for an experienced Veterinary Assistant to become an integral part of our team, providing outstanding support to our veterinarians while helping deliver exceptional care and service to every patient and client.
Responsibilities
- Taking an active role in assisting veterinarians during exams, treatments, surgical procedures, and dentistry
- Preparing patients, equipment, and treatment areas for appointments and procedures
- Maintaining accurate medical records and treatment documentation
- Reviewing treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions with clients clearly and compassionately
- Maintaining clean, organized, and fully prepared exam rooms, treatment areas, and procedural spaces
Requirements
- 3+ years of veterinary assistant or related role preferred
- Proficiency in safe animal handling and restraint skills for dogs and cats of varying sizes and temperaments
- Ability to assist with exams, treatments, and outpatient procedures
- Experience collecting patient histories and obtaining patient weights and vital signs preferred
- Ability to maintain accurate medical records and treatment documentation
- Caregiving, professional communication with clients and team members
- Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
- Physical ability to stand, bend, lift, and restrain patients safely throughout the workday
- Commitment to exceptional patient care and client service
Qualifications

Pay
Compensation: $21-24 per hour, for each hour worked
Schedule
This is a full-time position, with a flexible schedule and availability needed Monday-Friday.
About us
We are a four-doctor general practice that provides a variety of services to small animals in our community with a Fear Free approach. We have multiple staff members who are fear free certified and prioritize gentle patient handling. We currently operate 8am-6pm Monday-Friday, and typically have two to three doctors each day, with one performing surgery. Our purpose is to enhance people and pets lives, contribute to our community, and be Woodinvilles most trusted general practice. We do so by providing comprehensive services and compassionate medicine at a slower, more personalized pace.
