Veterinary Assistant

About the role

The Animal Clinic of Kalispell is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to support exceptional experiences for clients and patients. The ideal candidate will enjoy a variety of tasks and want to develop a well-rounded skillset.

Responsibilities

• Assisting veterinarians during exams, treatments, surgical procedures, and dentistry
• Providing safe, gentle patient handling and restraint during outpatient and procedural care
• Maintaining accurate medical records and treatment documentation
• Performing dental prophylaxis and dental radiography
• Maintaining clean, organized, and fully prepared exam rooms, treatment areas, and procedural spaces
• Building positive client relationships through education, communication, and attentive service

Requirements

• 4+ years of veterinary assistant, animal care, kennel, or related role preferred
• Proficiency in anesthetic monitoring, surgical assistance, dental prophylaxis, radiology, medication administration, medical record documentation, patient handling, and communication

Pay and Schedule

Compensation: $18 - $25 per hour, for each hour worked

This is a full-time position, with a 4/10 schedule and availability needed Monday-Friday.
