About the role
Blue Springs Animal Hospital & Pet Resort is seeking a part-time Veterinary Assistant in Blue Springs, Missouri to join our team of dedicated veterinary professionals.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Animal handling and restraint
- Aid doctors and technicians with medical treatments, diagnostic tests, and procedures
- Obtain medical history from clients and ensure documentation is accurate and complete
- Maintain cleanliness of treatment and patient areas
- Restock and organize medical supplies
Skills and Qualifications
- 2 years of professional experience in a veterinary clinical setting (CSR, kennel attendant, vet assistant, other), preferred
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to problem solve
- Able to handle stressful situations in a calm manner
- Prioritize tasks effectively
- A team player, have patience and maintain a positive attitude
