Veterinary Assistant

About the role

We are seeking a Veterinary Assistant with at least 1–2 years of experience in veterinary medicine who enjoys being hands-on and working closely with patients and the veterinary team.

Responsibilities

• Experience with animal restraint and safe patient handling
• Basic understanding of animal behavior
• Preventative care and wellness appointments
• Assisting veterinarians and technicians during exams and treatments
• Client communication and support during visits
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient hospital environment

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current VTOMS certification (if applicable)

Schedule

• Consistent scheduling with flexibility for our team
• Schedule Options May Include 4 ten-hour shifts 5 eight-hour shifts
• Additional Scheduling Details Some closing shifts (until 7:30 PM)
• One Saturday per month (8 AM – 12 PM) at one of our hospitals
