Schedule
Rotating schedule:
- Week A: Sun-Wed 2p-12a
- Week B: Sun-Tue 2p-12a
Responsibilities
- Record and deliver organized rounds, discuss cases, and gather additional information as necessary.
- Evaluate incoming patients and prioritize based on assessment.
- Partner with the patient care team regarding treatment plans, client communication, and nursing care concerns.
- Provide client education, including home care instructions, medications (indications, adverse reactions), and general wellness updates on hospitalized patients.
- Assist DVM with patient assessment, treatment, and procedures.
- Provide monitoring and nursing care to hospitalized patients.
- Induce and monitor general anesthesia and sedation procedures.
- Perform in-house laboratory testing and prepare samples for outside laboratory testing.
Requirements
- Prior veterinary experience required; previous emergency experience desired.
- Proficient in calculations (drugs, constant rate infusions, unit conversions, etc.).
- Flexibility with work hours and able to work additional hours when necessary.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Pay
This position has an initial hiring range of $20.75 to $31.00 per hour based on skillset and experience. Shift differentials apply:
- Hours worked between 8pm and 11:59pm = base pay + $2/hour.
- Hours worked between 12am and 7:59am = base pay + $3/hour.
- Hours worked on Weekends (day or night) = base pay + $1/hour + any applicable differential.
