Veterinary Assistant

Colony Park Animal Hospital is a full-service, AAHA-accredited veterinary practice in Durham, NC, committed to providing exceptional routine medical care, surgery, and dentistry in a collaborative, supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Take patient histories and prepare rooms for appointments
• Assist DVMs during outpatient visits and treatments
• Perform venipuncture (or learn with training)
• Collect samples and support patient care
• Provide excellent client communication and education
• Maintain accurate medical records
• Help keep appointments running efficiently and on schedule
• Support a collaborative, positive hospital culture

Requirements

• Veterinary Assistant experience preferred
• Comfortable with patient histories and preparing appointments
• Basic venipuncture skills preferred (or willingness to learn)
• Strong client communication and customer service skills
• Team-oriented, dependable, and eager to learn
• Positive attitude and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable working 1 weekend per month

$17.00–$19.00/hr (based on experience)

Full-Time | 4 shifts per week | 1 weekend per month required
