Responsibilities

• Assisting with examinations, treatments, surgeries, and medical procedures
• Safely handling and restraining both small and large animal patients
• Preparing patients and equipment for procedures
• Monitoring hospitalized patients and assisting with daily patient care
• Cleaning, disinfecting, and maintaining treatment areas and equipment
• Filling medications and maintaining inventory
• Aiding in client communication, scheduling, and patient education
• Supporting the team to ensure smooth daily operations

Qualifications

• Preferred: Veterinary assistant experience or experience working with animals
• Experience handling livestock is a plus
• Knowledge of basic veterinary terminology and animal restraint techniques
