About the role

Brookville Animal Hospital (CareVet) is a busy, two-doctor small animal practice seeking a Full-Time Veterinary Assistant to join their compassionate and collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Avoids stress in handling dogs and cats
• Prepares exam rooms and treatment areas
• Assists with laboratory testing, radiographs, and sample collection
• Care for hospitalized patients
• Prepares patients for surgery and assists with recovery
• Maintains a clean, organized hospital environment
• Provides outstanding client service and works collaboratively with the entire team

Requirements

• Previous veterinary assistant experience
• Positive attitude with a strong work ethic
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to multitask in a busy hospital setting
• Passion for exceptional patient care
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and safely handle patients of all sizes
