About the role
We are currently looking to hire a Veterinary Assistant to join our team at Animal Medical Center I-35 in Edmond, Oklahoma!
Responsibilities
- Provide support to veterinarians during examinations and treatments
- Administer medications and treatments as directed
- Assist in diagnostic procedures and surgeries
- Care for patients in the hospital setting, including feeding, grooming, and administering medication
- Handle administrative tasks such as charting and record-keeping
- Communicate effectively with clients to provide updates and answer questions
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- 1+ years of veterinary clinical experience
- Knowledge of industry tools and equipment
- Experience with proper animal handling and restraint
- Ability to be adaptable and work well with existing doctors and team members
- Solid understanding of animal behavior and healthcare
- Strong understanding of animal behavior and healthcare
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current license to practice veterinary medicine in Oklahoma
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
