Veterinary Anesthesiologist
About the role
We are seeking a board-certified or residency-trained Veterinary Anesthesiologist to join our dynamic team at BluePearl in Pittsburgh, PA. Our hospital supports 9 surgeons and multiple other specialties, with a strong anesthesia team and advanced equipment.
Responsibilities
- Designing and overseeing customized anesthetic protocols for a variety of complex cases.
- Providing pain management strategies tailored to each patient’s unique needs.
- Proficiency in monitoring and managing anesthesia for a wide range of surgical and critical cases.
- Collaborating closely with our surgical, internal medicine, and emergency teams.
- Training and mentoring clinicians and technicians to advance anesthesia best practices.
- Enhancing patient outcomes by ensuring the highest level of anesthetic safety and monitoring.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree.
- Board-certified or residency-trained in Veterinary Anesthesiology (ACVAA or equivalent).
- Eligible for veterinary licensure in the applicable state.
- Expertise in anesthesia protocols, pain management, and perioperative care.
