About the role

Whittier Dog & Cat Hospital is seeking a full-time Associate Veterinarian with 3–5 years of experience to join their long-standing and trusted practice in Whittier, CA.

Responsibilities

• Work with a diverse caseload including soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries, internal medicine, and exotics.
• Manage complex cases and operate in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborate with a high-performing team and partner with nearby sister hospital, Southeast Pet Hospital.
• Participate in monthly staff meetings and shared case discussions.

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of clinical experience.
• Strong diagnostic and surgical skills.
• Team player with excellent communication skills.
• Confidence in managing complex cases and fast-paced environments.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree.
• Current license to practice veterinary medicine in California.
• Experience with advanced diagnostics, in-house lab, digital radiology, ultrasound, lift tables, ICU oxygen therapy, and Doorstep CT access.

Pay

Base Salary: $150,000–$180,000, based on experience.

Schedule

4-day workweek (4/10s) with no on-call or after-hours responsibilities.
