Veterinarian- Urgent Care and GP

About the role

We are looking for an experienced veterinarian who is comfortable working independently for the majority of their shifts. This position includes one dedicated surgery day per week, along with one general practice shift and two urgent care shifts per week. Urgent care hours are 12-10 PM and general practice hours are 8 AM-6 PM. Every surgery day is dedicated to surgery only, so no more rushing to finish complicated procedures while appointments wait in exam rooms. Surgical mentorship is available, but a willingness to learn procedures and confidence in working independently is imperative.

Responsibilities

• Build lasting relationships with clients and their pets, becoming their trusted partner in a pet's lifelong health.
• Practice your best medicine: from diagnosis to treatment, lead patient care with the freedom to uphold the highest standards.
• Educate and empower clients by clearly communicating findings and treatment plans, enabling informed decisions.
• Collaborate and grow alongside a supportive paraprofessional team, contributing to a positive hospital culture.

Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree.
• Valid state license and in good standing to practice.
• A collaborative spirit and a dedication to practicing the highest standard of medicine.
• Excellent communication skills with a positive, friendly attitude.

About Valley View Animal Hospital

Valley View Animal Hospital offers comprehensive small animal medical services across a wide schedule, including Urgent Care available Monday through Saturday from noon to 10 PM. We are a well-equipped hospital with tools to provide excellent care, including:

• Electrosurgery unit and a well-stocked pharmacy (in-clinic and online through VetCove).
