Veterinarian / Rotating Internship 2026-2027

About the role

Welcome to VCA Hollywood Animal Hospital (VCA HAH)! We are a fun, down-to-earth group and we cannot wait to have you next year! We can guarantee that if you join us, you will not be bored. This internship is challenging, fast paced, and exciting! Our hospital offers interns rotations on emergency medicine, specialty medicine, and general practice all in one location. We will provide you the opportunity to see a vast array of cases and to be the primary care doctor on many of those cases. This year is your opportunity to apply the knowledge and experiences you gained in school into clinical practice. We will help you do that by encouraging your problem-solving skills while allowing you to perform and gain comfort with many procedures.

Responsibilities

• Primary case management with proper mentorship available
• Case discussions
• Topic rounds
• Radiology rounds
• Daily cage side round
• Morbidity and mortality rounds
• Case-based presentations throughout the year
• Multiple cadaver laboratories
• Ultrasound lab
• Bandaging lab
• "Tubes" lab

Qualifications

We are looking for candidates who are currently enrolled in a DVM program and have completed at least one year of veterinary school. Applicants must have strong interpersonal skills, be able to communicate effectively with clients, and have a passion for veterinary medicine.

Pay

The salary for this position is $80,000.
