About the practice
Newberg Veterinary Hospital is a busy, established practice serving dogs and cats since 1981. Known for its high-quality care and value, it attracts clients from hours away. The hospital supports the local Newberg Animal Shelter and provides veterinary care for Newberg Police K-9 units.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate care across a full range of GP and internal medicine cases
- Perform diagnostics, dentals, urgent care, and medical case management
- Collaborate with colleagues who value mentorship, teamwork, and learning
- Help shape the future of the practice during a meaningful period of evolution
Requirements
- Enjoy a broad scope of medicine and collaborating closely with a seasoned, capable support team
- Have a preference for a particular focus but willing to adapt to the practice’s needs
Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an AVMA-accredited institution
- Current license to practice veterinary medicine in the state of Oregon
- Experience in general practice and internal medicine
- Strong diagnostic skills, including digital radiographs and ultrasound
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
