Veterinarian - Medical Lead

About the role

We are seeking a Medical Lead Veterinarian to oversee clinical excellence, mentor associate veterinarians, and foster a collaborative team environment in a high-quality, AAHA-accredited small animal hospital.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach the veterinary team to ensure top standards in medicine and client service.
• Practice and model exceptional medical care across diagnostics, surgery, and preventative medicine.
• Partner with management to improve hospital performance, compliance, and operational goals.
• Lead medical meetings, supervise externship and mentorship programs, and promote staff growth.
• Represent the hospital within the community through engagement and outreach activities.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree and valid state license.
• At least 2 years of clinical experience.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to learn hospital management and contribute to a growth-oriented culture.
