About the role
Hillside Veterinary Clinic is looking for a full-time Veterinarian, Medical Director to join our team in Dallas, TX.
Responsibilities
- Drive positive change and medical excellence as a clinical leader.
- In collaborative partnership with the Practice Manager and hospital leadership team, guide the hospital's medical standards, support hospital performance, and foster a positive, collaborative culture.
- Actively recruit and retain top veterinary talent, coach and develop associate DVMs, and uphold high standards of patient care.
- Mentor and develop associate veterinarians, support hospital operations through effective leadership and data-informed decision making, and play a key part in shaping clinical excellence and team engagement while modeling Thrive Pet Healthcare's Core Values.

Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM / VMD) or equivalent degree required.
- Must hold a valid state veterinary board license in good standing for the state of hire, prior to start date.
- Active DEA license or DEA licensure eligible.
- At least 4 years of veterinary practice experience.

- Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, coach, and develop team members.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with strong written and oral communication.
- Sound medical reasoning skills and strong medical ethics.
