Veterinarian - Inwood, WV

About the role

The team at Inwood Animal Center is looking for a collaborative and experienced Associate Veterinarian to join our growing team in the beautiful Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia!

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality medical care to animals under the supervision of licensed veterinarians.
• Participate in team meetings and collaborate with other veterinarians, technicians, and support staff.
• Manage a caseload of 20-25 patients per day, including wellness, senior wellness, and sick appointments.
• Utilize state-of-the-art equipment such as an ultrasound, therapeutic laser, electrosurgery equipment, acupuncture services, and advanced surgical and orthopedic case support.
• Support the practice’s mission of providing compassionate and comprehensive veterinary care.

Requirements

• A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an AVMA-accredited institution.
• Current license to practice veterinary medicine in West Virginia.
• Experience in small animal medicine and surgery.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Passing scores on the North American Veterinary Licensing Examination (NAVLE).
• Experience with electronic medical records systems.
• Knowledge of internal medicine, surgery, dentistry, and dermatology.
