Veterinarian - Hoboken, NJ

About the role

Hoboken Animal Hospital is seeking a full-time or part-time Associate Veterinarian to join our long-standing, compassionate team in the heart of Hoboken, NJ.

Responsibilities

• Serving our community and their pets with empathy, quality medicine, and heart
• Typically seeing 12–18 patients per day, with appointment times ranging from 30 minutes to 1 hour
• Access to a new anesthesia machine, new ultrasound, laser therapy, digital x-ray, tonopen & cryo unit with a dental x-ray unit coming soon
• Work-life balance, family time, and taking care of each other

Requirements

• Current, unrestricted license to practice veterinary medicine in New Jersey
• Experience in small animal medicine and surgery
• Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport with clients and patients
• Passion for providing compassionate, high-quality care

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an AVMA-accredited institution
• Recent graduate or equivalent experience
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

Schedule

Schedule 4 ten-hour days Every third Saturday, with two days off during that week No on-call or after-hours requirements
