About the role

Opelika Animal Hospital is seeking a full-time Associate Veterinarian who thrives in a busy, community-focused setting. Our hospital has been a trusted part of the Opelika and Auburn communities for over 45 years.

Responsibilities

• Offer everything from wellness exams to specialized surgeries enabling our clients and their pets to develop a lifelong relationship with our doctors
• Maintain a 1:1 doctor-to-technician ratio
• See an average of 40-50 + patients per day

Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an AVMA-accredited school
• Current license to practice veterinary medicine in Alabama
• Experience in small animal medicine and surgery preferred

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Passionate about providing high-quality care to pets and their owners

Schedule

Schedule and Work-Life Balance Supportive environment for experienced DVMs Flexible schedule: 4–4.5 days/week (10-hour shifts) No after-hours or on-call duties

• Stand-alone hospital with 3 exam rooms, 2 surgery suites, and a boarding area
• Equipped with digital X-ray
• Adding a new dental machine soon
• 100% small animal practice
