Opelika Animal Hospital is seeking a full-time Associate Veterinarian who thrives in a busy, community-focused setting. Our hospital has been a trusted part of the Opelika and Auburn communities for over 45 years.
Responsibilities
- Offer everything from wellness exams to specialized surgeries
- Develop a lifelong relationship with clients and their pets
- Maintain a 1:1 doctor-to-technician ratio
- See an average of 40-50+ patients per day
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree
- Current license to practice veterinary medicine in Alabama
- Experience in small animal practice preferred

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Schedule
Schedule and Work-Life Balance: Supportive environment for experienced DVMs. Flexible schedule: 4–4.5 days/week (10-hour shifts). No after-hours or on-call duties. Maintains a 1:1 doctor-to-technician ratio.

- Stand-alone hospital with 3 exam rooms, 2 surgery suites, and a boarding area
- Equipped with digital X-ray
- Adding a new dental machine soon
- 100% small animal practice
