Veterinarian - Baraboo, WI

About the role

Hill-Dale Veterinary Care is seeking a Veterinarian to join their AAHA-accredited small animal practice in Baraboo, Wisconsin. The practice is known for its strong technician support, manageable caseload, and low-stress environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of approximately 12-16 patients per day with 30-minute appointments
• Enjoy a true lunch break of 1 hour and 30 minutes during slower seasons
• Work in a technologically advanced facility with full Idexx in-house lab suite, ultrasound, and laser therapy
• Collaborate with a team of 5 Certified Veterinary Technicians (CVTs) and 2 assistants
• Participate in weekly team meetings and regular lunch & learn sessions
• Practice 100% small animal medicine with the option to explore exotic species if interested
• Focus on preventative care and advanced procedures such as dentistry and behavior
• Collaborate with specialist veterinarians for complex cases without referral delays

Requirements

• Experience as a veterinarian
• Strong interest in surgery and/or dentistry (not required but a plus)
• A team-oriented, collaborative mindset

Qualifications

• Current license to practice veterinary medicine in Wisconsin
• Passing score on the North American Veterinary Licensing Exam (NAVLE) or passing score on the North American Veterinary Licensing Examination (NAVLE) II

Pay

Compensation is commensurate with experience.

Schedule

Part-time (2 days) or full-time (3 or 4 days) options available. Typical hours are 7:30am–5pm with rotating evening coverage on Mondays and Thursdays.

The practice is located in Baraboo, Wisconsin, near Wisconsin Dells, Madison, and Milwaukee. It is situated in the scenic Baraboo Bluffs area, offering a mix of outdoor adventure and small-town charm.
