About the role
Lower Columbia Veterinary Clinic, Beloved Community Hospital | Surgery & Urgent Care, Longview, WA, is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join our growing team. As a newly AAHA-accredited hospital, we are committed to delivering exceptional veterinary medicine through advanced medical standards, compassionate patient care, and a culture of continuous learning.
Responsibilities
- Manage a broad range of medical and surgical cases, including preventive care, urgent care, dentistry, soft tissue surgery, internal medicine, dermatology, senior pet care, regenerative medicine, and canine reproduction services.
- Perform routine soft tissue surgeries and continue to develop surgical skills.
- Manage urgent care cases with adaptability and decisiveness.
- Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and support staff.
- Expand medical and surgical knowledge and contribute to a positive hospital culture.
- Help shape the future of a growing AAHA-accredited hospital.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or VMD degree from an AVMA-accredited college of veterinary medicine (or equivalent certification for international graduates).
- Active Washington veterinary license in good standing, or ability to obtain licensure prior to start date.
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in small animal medicine and surgery.
- Strong commitment to practicing high-quality, evidence-based veterinary medicine.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multi-doctor practice environment.
- Passion for patient care, client education, and professional growth.
Qualifications

- Preferred: Experience in small animal general practice and urgent care; proficiency in soft tissue surgery and dentistry; experience utilizing ultrasound, digital radiography, and in-house laboratory diagnostics; interest in helping expand clinical services and hospital capabilities; desire to mentor others and contribute to a positive hospital culture.
